How We Created This Girls' Bedroom for Under $500
When people think about decorating a bedroom, they usually assume it's going to cost a fortune. The truth is, a few good pieces can completely change the look of a room.
For this bedroom, I kept everything soft, simple, and affordable. The entire look comes in at around $500.
Here's how it breaks down.
Pink Upholstered Beds

The beds do all the heavy lifting in this room. The rounded headboards make the space feel finished right away, so you don't need much else.
Bow Duvet Bedding

I wanted bedding that was sweet without feeling too babyish. The soft blush bows add just enough pattern while keeping everything light and clean.
A big rug makes a shared room feel like one space instead of two separate beds sitting next to each other. It's one of those pieces that's worth spending a little extra on.
Most people forget about the light fixture, but swapping it out makes a bigger difference than you'd expect. It finishes the room without taking up any extra space.

A Few Things I'd Keep in Mind

I'd also rather buy one large rug than two small ones. It makes the whole room feel bigger and more put together.
You don't have to spend thousands to create a room you'll love. Focus on the pieces that make the biggest impact, and let everything else stay simple.
