The Basics: How to Use Your Simmer Pot

Creating a simmer pot is wonderfully simple. Follow these four easy steps:

1. Assemble Your Blend

Place your chosen ingredients into a small pot.

2. Add Water

Fill the pot with water until the ingredients are submerged (usually about 2 to 3 inches of water).

3. Simmer Gently

Place the pot on your stovetop or a dedicated heating plate. Bring it to a gentle boil, then immediately lower the heat to a soft, steady simmer.

4. Replenish

Keep an eye on the water level every 30 minutes. Add warm water as needed to ensure the ingredients never burn to the bottom of the pot.
